It is time for the next EBC Brakes Pad Giveaway! One set of pads (front or rear) will be gifted to one randomly selected forum member from our entire range, just by participating in the below thread!

In past giveaways we have discussed our first ride, garage and storage spaces, famous people we have met or would like to have met and weird and wonderful vehicles amongst other topics.

With respect to electric vehicles, the sound and mechanics of an internal combustion engine is a masterpiece, and as pressures increase from governments for the end of the ICE, this month we would like to pose the question; Hypothetically the law states you can keep only one ICE car for the future, what car do you want to hold onto forever, and why?
Would you choose something economic like a Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost twin turbo, or go for power with the 5.2L V10 Lamborghini Huracan or a 6.2L Hemi SRT Hellcat Supercharged V8? Maybe you want the usability of a Ford F-150, or the classic finesse of a 1980 Corvette Stingray?

The lucky winner will be randomly selected and announced within a few days after the closing date of 1st December 2022 and details will be posted on this forum shortly after.

Please be aware that this thread may appear in more than one section on the forum and one winner will be selected from the whole forum, not a winner per thread.
Pad choice will be based on availability and where a chosen pad is unavailable, an alternative will be offered.

If you are not the lucky winner, EBC Brakes are pleased to be able to offer a 10% discount off their braking products to all members of the forum community using code FORUM10USER
This discount code can be redeemed at EBC Brakes Direct | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Brake Discs or with our USA partners at Perfect Brakes | EBC Brake Pads | EBC Rotors

Any questions or application issues please let us know.

GOOD LUCK………

I think I would have to go back to my first 'high end' car, the ultimate gas guzzler... A Dodge Viper with an 8L V10!! But I'd probably go for a newer (Gen5) one though with the aftermarket 9.0L stroker.
Or a Lambo V12 screamer!

While we all have dream cars, I think my choice would have to be fairly modest and a car that is already a classic. If the future will be that bleak you can also be sure that parts and maintenance will become MUCH harder. Suppliers for almost all cars will obsolete parts and you will have a nightmare of a time maintaining a true exotic or rare car. Therefore I will happily settle on my dream 1972 Pontiac Trans Am. Not sure if I want it to be White with a Blue racing stripe or just straight up Red but that's the car for me. There are plenty of parts available for restoration and its fairly simple to maintain, with a Manual transmission of course. There is also tons of tuning potential available depending how mild or wild I want to go in the future, I can go from Track to Strip to Street with bolt on parts and some wrench time. Lets just hope we never have to choose just one!

Any 12 cylinder Ferrari engined car, MC12 included. After that NA Ferrari 8 cylinders like 458/Speciale. No one is gong to say they are not special even when you are allowed to own more than one ICE.

I'd have to go with a 2005-6 Ford GT. Mid-engine, supercharged, V8 heaven :)

I think EVs are very practical, so if I could keep only one ICE it would probably be something exotic. However, EVs will be faster anyway so perhaps not an extreme car.
A gated V12 Ferrari is a dream today and it would probably be my pick, a 550 Maranello or even a more under the radar and practical 456. A Lamborghini Miura or a Maserati Ghibli (first series) would be very tempting as well.

see an EV may be faster, but the sound of that V12 is what would do it for me

Just a week left, anybody with another input to the last-ICE-Car discussion?
Yeah, the v12 of the Lambo Aventador can't be beat in my book...
