Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I'm confused regarding how I might refer to my '02 CC coupe. Is this the same as what I see referred to as a "4200" (based upon the 4.2L engine)? I've seen pix of what was ID'd as a recent-year 4200 Coupe and it looked like the '02-'06 CCs, although what I saw was a UK car, not American. I've always referred to mine as simply a "CC Coupe." Is there more to the name than that?

I believe 4200 is the internal Maserati model designation for the current Coupe design (like BMWs are referred to on boards as E46s, etc) and also the way they are referred to by Europeans. The 3200 was the model that preceded the 4200 and actually looks very similar. It was the car that Maserati/Ferrari first introduced during Maserati's "comeback". Too bad we don't have the 3200's cool taillights. :)

The 3200 was never offered in America. It was only offered in Europe but that is why they designate the 3200 coupe and 4200 coupe because in Europe there is both.

I like the 3200 lights?!?
