I think I shifts kinda off now too. I called a mechanic and he said to take the battery terminal off the positive and connect it to the negative wire for a bit to try and reset it. There is also this thing which I think may be some after market device. Not sure if it is contributing to the problem. Any Ideas? I dont want to have to drive 5 hours to the dealer.

After battery disconnect need to do a component relearn.

Turn key to on engine off for 20 seconds.
Start engine and let idle for 20 seconds.
Turn engine off.
Using key fob hit the lock button once and then push open button once.

Get out of vehicle and using the key fob lock then unlock the car. Then check if things are working correctly.

That might be a tracker connected to battery, I would disconnect it.

If the battery died and you had to open the trunk with the key, then you just have to slam down to get the trunk to latch. For the locks, lock the door with the key physically in the lock and then unlock it.
