Hello everyone,
Need some advice. I found a car that i am interested in purchasing, but there's a catch. Looks like there is a little ding on the drivers door and the whole door would need to be repainted if i want it to be fixed.

So my question is...
1) Is Blue nettuno a color that can be matched/redone easily? will it be noticeable?
2) any idea how much this would cost?
3) are they any other options other than repainting the whole door.

Thanks.

How big is the dent? I used a local PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) specialist that removed two door dings on one side. Today, I couldn't even begin to try to point out where the dents were on the door and fender panel. Cost was $90 - the sub vendor was thru the dealer.

If you have to paint, I've seen a Blu Nettuno car that was in a minor accident, and a local shop here did a fantastic job matching the paint.

I've also seen a Bordeaux car that started with a door, and ended up with the whole side of the car painted because they botched the color match.

It's worth spending a bit extra to go with a top notch shop.

Your dent sounds small enough that PDR should be able to take it out. I would say with that size the big factor will be whether the paint is cracked or not, and tool access. Some of those guys can work magic.

When we first opened someone ran into one of our Coupe's with a floor scrubbing machine, and put a 6" by 6" dent almost an inch deep at its worst and with a body line running through it.

The PDR guy hammered away at it for about four hours, but when he was done, I couldn't find where it had originally been.

The biggest issue they run into is whether the paint is cracked or not. If it is, only body work \ paint will fix that. I don't know the shops in LA, but hopefully someone else on the boards has some insight on that.

PS. The companies here that do good PDR work are Dent Wizard, and Dent Craft. I'm not sure if they are nationally franchised or not.
