drive into/over a hole in the road this morning and it ruined my front tyre i.e it's flat.
I'm assuming that it's got a nasty hole in it somewhere, so i'm going to have a mobile tyre service come out and fit a new tyre during the week. It's stuck in the airport carpark for now.
My question is.....do the Coupe's have anything like locking wheel nuts etc? Will a mobile tyre service be able to come out and take the wheel off with this standard tools that he will have?
I have no tyre tools etc with my Coupe whatsoever..so i'm hoping that it's all standard. I looked on Eurospares website and it doesn't indicate anything fancy like lockable wheel studs etc.

hi, make sure they check the tyre properly - it may not be damaged.

a week agoi was on the motorway and went over a cats eye - slightly louder bump than normal and instant totally flat tyre. pulled over onto the hard shoulder and summoned the aa (i'm lazy!) and he checked it over and found nothing. tyre must have popped off the rim. he inflated it and i drove home
(3 miles) and it has held pressure since.

never known that happen with car tyres - cycles yes, cars no??

only problem is he confirmed what i suspected which is that i need 4 new tyres pretty imminently and the alignment needs doing. Thought £750 all in for 4 new pirelli p zero rossos inc alignment at specialist independent in manchester was pretty good!

good luck!

thnx Keith,
i'm hoping that it is a similar situation i.e rapid deflation due to tyre popping of rim briefly. The bang was so loud i'm worried there maybe all sorts of other problems now down there. I'm hoping that nothings has bent, alloys are ok etc.etc.
I checked it briefly (although it was 5.15am and therefore totally dark), and i couldn't see any damage and the tyre felt ok..might be that there is a hole on the inside wall or something, but definitely not on the outside wall or round the centre of it.
