I’m usually not a fan of digital clusters in these cars, but after seeing the video where he scrolls through the various modes / functions menu screen, I must admit that I like this particular display quite a bit.
Hmmm..possible purchase… assuming it’s a relatively simple “plug and play”

I was sent the message by the owner of this thing as well. I think it looks legit, but yea seeings how the Aucar v3 headunit is the most stable version, im gonna be thinking long and hard if I wanna be the first pilot for this thing lol. But at the same time ultimately this is a niche product that only a few people will buy anyway (how many gran turismos even exist ? 10k? ) and even 99% of owners probably wont even know this thing exists .

Beta Testing??? Beta testing will be selling the first 500 units. After my AUcar experience, I'll wait for gen 2 or 3. I'm really not looking forward to ripping my dash apart more than ONCE.

It does look like an awesome project. It's interesting to see the aftermarket electronics support that the GT is getting.

yea its definitely going to be interesting. However the thing with aftermarket parts is its a cat/mouse game.

A company isn't going to bother investing/creating niche parts for a niche car unless people buy them, so we cant also complain about it not working completely if no one spends to money to buy it.
they only made 10k-20k toyota supra mkivs (a similar number to maserati granturismos production numbers) but the majority of supra owners buy performance/aftermarket parts so its still pretty easy to get most parts for this car even though it stopped being produced 20 years ago.

Call me old fashion, but I like our dash gauges...just not the small "Infotainment" screen in the center console. But I guess the natural progression would be to "upgrade" everything so it "matches" technologies.
The fear of breakage is real for me too Jdub
