Have not seen this before. Am I just missing it on other Coupes or does it designate something?

All modern Maser's should have this tag with the exception of the Quatroporte as it should have a 'design di Pininfarina' plate

All my Ferrari's have had the pinin plate and my Maser has the Giugiaro

Giugiaro refers to Giorgetto Giugiaro, the head of ItalDesign Studio and the Designer of the Coupe/Spyder.

not being the smart ass here but they 'should have this tag' only if it is designed by giugiaro.

not all modern maserati's have this emblem. the MC12 and Birdcage prototype do not have one. (MC 12 = in house, Birdcage = pininfarina)
