Deposit Paid on CC NEWBIE questions!

I have an '05 H2 SUT I really would like to trade in. I put a deposit yesterday on an '02 CC Spyder. Believe it or not I just want to jump ship on the H2 and this Spyder is the only car I could get a decent trade on- which has me concerned. Does Maserati keep all their cars service records on-line? This car is out of state and I wanted to ask my local dealer if they can tell me if clutch has been replaced. Has anybody out else out there attempted to replace the clutch on their own? Or F1 pump- or relays?

I've was a vehicle mechanic for four years with the AF and I'm not normally afraid of clutches- but why does everyone pay to have it done that is out of warr? I mean the cost savings would be worth the hassle in this case or am I wrong? My boss is Eraldo Ferracci and I would have plenty of assistance if its a difficult task. We deal with the Ferrari of motorcycles pretty well. PLus what ballpark figure would you guys put on trade-in on an '02 Spyder CC w/ 20k miles?

Oh is there a "better" aftermarket clutch?

...my records came through intact when I switched dealerships (one opened closer to my work). A CC clutch is probably not for the timid, but if you have done major work on a modern car it might come down to the only diffiiculty being specialized tools and computers (specific to the marque). The F1 pump alone is several grand, and upon seeing the cars being assembled in Modena...there are a LOT of hydraulic lines. The complexity spooked me so much that I got a 6 speed. Best I can recollect from posts and talking to mechanics....Clutch life on the cc seems to range from 10K to 25K, and about twice as long for the 6 speed, although there is very little data on the latter.
Price for the 02 Spider should be between 40 and $50K US.

So.....Is it Ferraci, as in Ferraci pipes for bikes? If yes, then I am jealous of your job...

All the best, and since you already put the deposit on the car...you might need to negotiate hard if the clutch needs doing...Everything comes down to price, of course, so good luck with the final details. You will not regret it, they are great cars, and you will never see or hear yourself coming or going.
