Daddy Daycare in a Gransport

Every now and again I have to drop off or pick up my kids (1 year old and 3.5 year old boys) in the GS - I know that is blasphemy, but my older son loves to ride in the "race car". I pulled the Britax Marathon and Cosco booster seats out of my wife's SUV, and tried to fit them it the back of the GS. Because of the shape of the back seats, the booster and child seats do not seem to fit properly.

Does anyone know of any specific brands for booster seats and child seats that fit well in the GS? Thanks.

buy the Combi LX set up

I drop off and pick up my 6 month old everyday. Combi is the only brand that I could find that fit.
Actually I found one that fits perfect.....

And it's made by the parent company....

This seat fits so well in my 2002 Coupe that you would think it was made for the car.... Other seats we have tried slip and slide due to the back seat shape, deep wells, and this seat fits right into the well nice and snug and it's comfortable beyond belief...

I have 4 and 6 year old boys who won't let me take the care out of the garage unless they are going with me. My 6 year old get's mad at me when I drive the car to work, says I need to make sure to wash it before I bring it home, make sure nobody parks next to me, and make sure I warm it up before I drive it, etc....

I take the boys out a couple times a week in the evening and they always fall asleep in the car not long after we leave, that Ferrari V8 sings them to sleep.
I fold a towel up to fill in the dished out part of the seat and then the booster fits just fine.
Thanks for the tips!!

I will check these out. Yes, the slipping and sliding was my problem as well. My son loves it when I step on the gas...the problem is that when I look back at him, the booster seat is tilted and my son is hanging over the middle. But, he is still smiling and shouting, "go faster, daddy".

Did you buy the backless or booster with a back? Thanks.
I used a foam swimming noodle that I cut up to keep the seat base in position. It has been perfect and is firm without harming the leather.
As soon as my son turns 1 yr old I am going the Recaro Convertable seat route.
The answer is....

Question: "Did you buy the backless or booster with a back?"

Answer: I bought the booster with the back for both of my boys... The cool thing is the head rest section is nice for them to fall asleep with as it holds their heads up instead them drooping over the seat belt which is dangerous. As I explained earlier, the bottom of the seat fits into the wells and doesn't move so it's very nice... Some local Ferrari Dealers have these seats in stock...
Thanks for the advice. I purchased the Ferrari high back booster yesterday from Speed Gear and it arrived today. It fits the GranSport rear seat perfectly! My wife says its the coolest looking booster seat she's ever seen. My 3 year old was thrilled to ride in "daddy's fast car".
Is there any way you could post a picture of the seat in the back. (My question mark key doesn't work!) I'm trying to talk my wife into the car, but her main concern is the booster seat. I turned down a 911 because ours wouldn't fit. This post might just be the ticket.
MalMeg.....

I will have my car out this weekend, will post the pict here of the car seat and how it fits into the Coupe. I am telling you, you would think the boys on the F1 Team had built the seat to fit in the back of this car... My kids hate their other seats, it's mega comfy, sturdy, and fits the car perfect.
Thanks, GrndLkNatv. I look forward to seeing the pics. I was on a Porsche forum before and some guys had said their carseats fit great in their 911's, but when I tried ours it wasn't even close. So now my wife is a little pesimistic about it. She isn't too thrilled with the service costs on the Maser either. It's going to be an uphill battle, that's for sure....
I use the one that I bought from the Porsche dealer for my 997S. Works great in my coupe. I will have it out with my 7 year old this weekend and will try to take some pics.

Maint.. Costs....

If you maintain the car yourself, it's not that expensive at all... I figure you could put on 10k a year for under $500.00 a year if you are a do it yourself'er..

What service would you consider DIY?
What I consider DIY

Spark Plugs, LOF (Lube Oil and Filter), Differential and Tranmission Oil Change, Air Filter, Brakes, Pollen Filter, that kind of stuff.

But I am also capable of doing a full rebuild on anything in the car if I have the repair manual..
Ferrari booster seat

Here is a shot of the Ferrari high back booster in my GS. The booster fits the seat well and does not shift when in motion.
