Oh well, you cannot have them all your side, can you?
Don't worry, nowadays there are sites who bare-strip, repair and power-coat the wheels to an identical finish as-new. You should be OK.
If you go to Italy and drop-into any Maser / Ferrari dealership and ask to see a used example, scuffed alloys ALL THE WAY on the edge (not just 1 or 2 unlucky spots, but the whole rim) are as usual as cappucino. They seem to LOVE curbs (there is an Italian word for it, cannot remember right now...)
Anyway... let a couple of weeks pass by (you're no doubt now almost exclusively spotting your wheels every time you get close to the car... know the feeling) and you will have the kerb erased from your visual boresight. But it you can't stand it, you can repair the wheels easily.
... and keep 'em waiting for the next curb...
