Coupe CA smog routine

I brought an out of state Coupe into CA, and the DMV won't register it without a smog, despite the fact that it is a new 50 state vehicle. Long story short, it turns out there is a trick to smogging a cambio car. You must put the car in "drag race" mode. This is done by pressing the brake and the pushing the accelerator to the floor and then releasing it, with the ignition switched on. Of course, you will want ASR switched off and Sport mode off as well. If you try a dyno run without doing this you will get a transmission warning light, and the car will not shift beyond third, which makes the necessary test impossible.
