Coupe bike rack

I normally transport the bike in the trunk of the Cadillac, but my poor 6 month old Orbea finish is already looking tattered (This is the bike I am worrying about). I was thinking a bike rack on my everyday driver, an o2 maserati coupe would work better. I have found a post regarding a hitch mount on a QP, but has anyone done anything else? I realize that there are no gutters, but other cars pull it off...I am getting ready to do the Wine Country Century. I am up to 50 mile rides and having a great time, just need a bike rack...
