Yup, hydro-dipping, hydrographics have been around a long time, most often used to camo coat guns and hunting equipment. I actually looked into buying a tank and equipment, which wasn't much. The cost gets crazy if you want to print your own patterns or transfers.

The water based "chrome" has been around for a few years and is pretty straight forward. I come from a background of automotive paints and painting so given the low/no voc's involved and hose it on method etc., it looks pretty cool. When I was restoring motorcycles a few years back I had set up a chroming station to chrome my small bits for the bikes...I Wish I would have had this!!!

So many cool and affordable process out there now. I believe the chrome can be used on plastic. So just think, you could chrome your Maserati engine surround for major bling!
