I've always been a manual driver but after testing the CC on an 06 GS, I really liked it. I could go either way.

But is there consensus on which clutch generally lasts longer until replacement is needed - a manual or the CC? Is there a big difference?

And I keep seeing these negative references the the F1 pump - what is that about, frequent service needed, doesn't work so great?

And does the DBW by FD help with the wear on the CC?

Clutch replacement costs are about the same for either, but if performance niggles or frequent service is required on the CC I may go with a manual Coup.

I think the early CC were a little iffy (with F1 pump issues and wear) but I have the impression from reading this forum most of the later models didn't have particular issues.

I do believe clutch wear is a little better on the manual but FD's DBW does help (according to FD ;)). Given it's a recent development, only time will tell but their parts are of very high standards so I presume the DBW will perform as they say.
