I purchased a 1999 Maserati 3200GT with only 15000Kms.At 21000Kms the actuating rod into the clutch master cylinder broke(? why) and the dealer said the clutch needed replacing which appears to be correct from the friction plate I was given. Is this normal for a manual car. I just let the clutch out, then accelerate as the dealer said. I don't dial in 6000 and than drop it as my Subaru required.Stunned that a clutch can only last this long!!! The clutch thrust bearing had been a little noisy(audible) when cold.
