Hi,

Any idea for a child seat to be installed on the back seats of a Granturismo? I have tried the normal one but does not fit ... so I assume their could be another type of child seat for a 3 years old boy!

Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen the back seats in the GT personally

But I do know this car seat works extremely well in the coupe and QP..

It's been upgraded since I got mine, my four year old rides in it...

This is the old own that I have...

It fits real well in the coupe back seat... Sticks like glue, no wiggling...

Actually I have the same one you showed in the pic but base of the seat is bigger than the car seat it self so can not be stable. I have read int eh manual saying they have Isofix ... I do not know what is that? does all seat comply with Isofix?

Don't know about the GT back seats, but I use a Britax Roundabout in my coupe and it works great - the base is bigger than the bucket in the seat, so I use a couple of folded towels to fill in the bucket before I put the car seat on top (if that makes sense).

The manual of the car does not show what type of seat would fit ... they just say Isofix and I do not know what thats means

So I hope someone who has managed a child seat with a GT can advise.

I think in the US the ISOfix anchors are called LATCH - it is a way of connecting the seat to the car, not about the size of the seat. I use the LATCH/ISOfix anchors to install the car set in my coupe.

Some related discussions and pictures regarding child seats in prior models (I would have to go look at the GT back seat to know if it poses a different problem):

while browsing the parts cataloge, I noticed the Australian cars come with a seat insert that fills the rearseat buckets and leaves a level surface to put a child seat on.

Also, for child seats I couldn't find a companythat put as much R&D into their seats and safety as Recaro. If it's good enough for an adult to crash in at 200+ MPH, it's good enough for my child. (and the Start model has built in speakers so I don't have to listen to "the wheels on the bus" 100x's!)
