Howdy people. I think I may have gotten the cheapest, and one of the highest mileage Gransports in great wide world. With ~128 000km (80 000 miles) and for the staggering equivalent of $15k USD the car is both in remarkable condition for what I've paid, and needs a fair bit of attention. I'm from Australia where an average Gransport sells for ~$50k ($33k USD), and all cars that aren't a base model are imported from the UK.

It is a 2007 LE, the body is straight and it has a full history including the import paperwork, so the mileage is verifiable. A few people who imported them did the sneaky and swapped out the instrument clusters with some minor adjustments.

I could use some help giving the car some love forum people. If anyone has any of the following it would be greatly appreciated:

-OEM Headunit (yes I know its terrible)
-CF door sills
-CF door inserts
-CF front lip
-Larini Headers and rear boxes
-Valve covers

If you have any of those parts or know someone who does, even damaged please message me!

Otherwise, I'm curious to see if there are any other high mileage cars out there and how you've gone with it?

Welcome. Hate to tell you but I think you're barely in the running on mileage :)
Mine (UK) had >100k miles when I sold it earlier this year. New owner just had it tested for the annual check and no advisories :)

Found a 196,000 km example earlier this year (122k mi). The owner had accepted $11.5k USD for it. It was in okay condition (needed some love for sure) but ended up waking away from it and finding something mint.

There's one in town here with over 180K miles and I saw one with over 200K already. Both were Cambiocorsa coupes, however, not GS. But still, it oughtta count!

Prices in Australia are typically higher so it's no surprise it isn't the least expensive but it sounds like a good find. Hope you're able to enjoy it well !

Best Regards,

Nice, was it the one that sold at Graysonline recently?
Nope, it was a bit of a coincidence. It was never listed for sale and I found it while talking to a salesman at a Lexus dealership. By sheer coincidence I mentioned that the GS was one of my favourite sounding V8s and the guy responded with 'we had someone try to trade one of those in'. After a bit of questioning he called the owner who ended up being 15 minutes from my place and went and had a look. While I was there he said he was planning on spending $5k on it and listing it for $35k, first offer above $30k he would take. He'd been offered $26k trade in at Barbagallos, and $24k at Lexus so he said he'd sell it for $25k as is.

I called him later and said he was better off saving his $5k and just listing it for $30k. I've seen them sell not running and with peeling paint or terrible vinyl wraps for more than that. Told him it was an LE, had an Auditorium option etc. and that even though the mileage was high, it was running, registered and had a history. He said thanks and left it at that.

A few hours later he said 'I've asked for a discount from Lexus, if I get it you can have it for $22 500'.

Absolutely no reason he had to do that, I didn't push him on price, didn't try and talk him down, he just decided to sell it to me.

Nice, there was a blue UK import GS that sold at auction over here in Melbourne a while back I saw, ended somewhere in the mid $20k range I think but its kms were nearer 100k from memory.

My 4200 Spyder was delivered in WA new from Barbagallo, 1 of 7 manual Spyders Aussie delivered.
