Hey guys...

I am goingto be changing my brake pads soon, and I wanted to know if any of you guys had any tips or suggestions as to how to do it...

Do I just tap the pin out and put them in and start driving or is there something special I need to do?

Thanks!

PS. What suggestions do you have for actual pads?

A quick bit of advice is that you don't have to remove the calipers to get the pads out. Saves quite a bit of time to just slide them out the top of the caliper after removing the pin. You've gotta love those Brembo's!

If you decide to do track days, it's fairly easy to slip in a set of race pads in the front and go back to your street pads afterwards.

Another bit of advice is to change your brake fluid. We recommend and carry MOTUL, best stuff for a fair price. RBF600 is a great product. You can get a self bleed kit for around $20 that will allow you to just attach to the bleed screw and pump the brakes while adding fluid periodically until the clear fluid ( free from bubbles ) comes out the caliper and collects into the provided container. It's just a simple one way check valve. It's easy, saves on mess, saves a few bucks and it's more quality time with your Masi! Many people complain that you can't work on cars anymore... mostly they're right. However, simple things like this on a Sunday are suprisingly pleasing.

Fresh Brakes with a firm peddle = Confidence.
