Hi. I have acquired a 2009 QP S with Bose from Japan. My dealer tried to change the language from Japanese to English, but with no luck. Could someone help me out? Would some obd-device help me out with it?

Just a guess since I'm working with this Bose unit right now, the software update discs have map data for either Europe or North America. I'm thinking that your Bose is hard coded for Japan. I don't think change is possible.
Maybe with the unit out you could take a pic of the part number

The garage did find a solution, but i did not get the chance to ask how. I was about to try to do it myself. I downloaded an app that translates whatever you take a picture of. In that way i could manage my way through the menu. Never gave it a try, but that might be a solution :)

So your language is Japanese. Yes I assume that somewhere in the menu is language. You will need to press menu button on bottom right, button has some lines. Then the right knob bottom part will scroll through the items until you find system options.

So indeed I confirmed that the "System Option " menu has Language. My 3 choices were English, Spanish, Italian if I remember correctly. If your version has English as a choice, you may be in luck
