Change 02 Spyder Oil With Extractor?

I'd like to do an interim oil change to save some money and delay the need to pay hundreds of dollars to my local dealer. I use an oil extractor (tube goes down dipstick) on some of my other vehicles and it does a great job. Can I use this on my 02 Spyder or does the dry sump system prevent me from extracting much of the oil via this method? I appreciate your guidance!

There was a good thread on this very topic about a year ago. My personal view is that it's OK to extract the oil but you have to realize that you're never going to get a full drain. SO, maybe this is a reasonable approach for those of you DIY-ers that want to do an easy oil change between dealer-scheduled changes? Don't forget that you have oil in the filter or, that you'll still need to change out the filter.
