FWIW my thoughts
1. After changing the oil several times I can say with some assurance that there will approximately 1L oil remaining in the block.
2. I'm not certain but I think I remember that the filter is an anti-drainback type which would be another area that would not be drained by a pump.
3. The oil fill tube connects directly to the tank which would allow for a larger tube to pump through if you decide to go that route.
4. The factory filter and copper washers cost ca $35. I use Pennzoil, 5W-40, Platinum, European Formula oil at around $7/L (I like Pennzoil, I can find it and it meets ALL specs.)
5. Up until last time I changed the oil myself. The car needs to be level when the oil is drained so I found a slope, parked the car there so that when the front was raised the car was level. Get some old rags cause the filter goes in sideways and will dump oil when removed.
6. Last time I found a mechanic who had the proper lift, ie one that has ramps that you drive onto rather than a floor pit. (The later will not allow the oil to be drained 'cause the drain plug will not be over the pit.) Anyhow he charged me $20 for maybe 15 min work (not including time to allow the oil to drain.)
I, myself would not use the pump method. Especially now that I've got someone to lift the car. There are several threads on this site about changing oil. Search them out and give one a try.
