So, I'm thinking of "changing the changer". 8 times out of 10, the changer "forgets" that there are CD's in 3 of the 5 slots. Mine is a 2003, with, I assume, the Blaupunkt changer.

Is there a drop-in replacement available? Any info on the wiring harness that would allow a replacement?

Any advice welcomed. I don't want to replace the whole system, just the changer for now.

I had the exact same problem. The dealer put a new changer in back in September and I have not had any problems. They replaced it under warranty. It might be worth a try.

yep...same issue and the changer was replaced under warranty as well.
