Hi guys, recently noticed my car pulls to the right under normal stright line driving conditions. At first I thought to check tire pressure to ensure all tires were even and of course they were. I filled all 4 tires another 5PSI just incase and the problem is still there. My question is, what do you think it is? Will I need to get the tires balanced? Rotated? If so, can any tire shop do this, or will it need to go to the dealer? Your help is much appreciated.

your alignment is off, yeah any tire shop can do an alignment but not on a maserati check out shoreline motoring located in Huntington beach so cal.. they specialize in that type of stuff good luck

Mc12, appreciate the heads up, unfortunately don't live anywhere close to cali. way on the other side in NC instead. Problem is I'll have to have the dealer ship the car to another city for service, since they don't have a service center in charlotte. Becomes a bit of a PITA.

It's either uneven tire pressure, alignment or another problem the dealer would have to look at.

Most shops that do Mercedes or Porsche can do the alignment. As MC12 mentioned, not every shop can do the Maserati.

If you call around, ask for a shim alignment. That is litterally where they align the car by placing shims instead of with push / pull adjusters like many cars these days. They do not need the "Maserati" shims but they definitely need to know how to do a shim alignment.

You should not need to take it to the dealer to get this done. However, they will definitely be able to do the work.

I have a slightly similar problem with my QP. It steps out to the right at the back for a moment under some high speed circumstances. I only bought the car 8 weeks ago (of which 2 it spent back at dealer) and now they want to charge me to do a wheel alignment DESPITE the fact they swapped the wheels over with another car just prior to purchase. One of the engineers said that there is a yaw sensor in the middle of the car that communicates with the steering angle sensor. He said that there may be a calibration error which is easily corrected with an SD3. However when I spoke to the workshop manager today he said he would have to charge me a FEE just to plug the SD3 in! The car has a 1 year Trident Warranty by the way.

Formula Dynamics, I'd be grateful if you could forward me the specs for the 05 QP. This dealer wants £490 to do the wheel alignment, if push comes to shove I'll go to an independent and get it done there as I only get the run around with this official dealer.

Ive seen this problem before and the engineers had a major problem figuring this out. it almost seems like you are going out of control right... they dont know what they are talking about. ill tell you exactly what it is (BUMP STEER ARM IN THE REAR) let them know, they are loose from the factory and they wear the medal in the frame. So to fix this you have to bascialy replace the bolt and or weld it! i dont now why they put the bump steer arm on the QP that stuff you see on track cars?? good luck!
