Hi There,

Newbie here! I just bought a new 07 Quattroporte that had been sitting on a lot for almost a year. Got a great deal but I have a question about the brake pedal. When I start the car the pedal seems to go almost to the floor. Once I realese it the pedal firms up and feels normal. Is this normal or does the master cylinder have a leak? Any feed back would be great!

In my coupe on startup the brake pedal does go down somewhat when I start it. This is normal. Almost to the floor sounds odd. Is the pedal travel consistent or is it becoming less the more you start the car? If it's really been sitting for a year you might get the dealer to change the brake fluid or at least bleed the system. I'm sure they'll be happy to look at the issue.

Thanks. It seems to be consistant. It works fine once the car is running. I'll get the dealer to check it out.
