After installing my ECM and DBW successfully I thought, "why not try to install the BMC air filter?" So I went for it. You know what? VERY EASY! It took me less than 30 min, and I'm not a DIY guy. Honestly, anybody can do it.

Should I try installing the springs?

Just kidding!:D

Run Forest, run! I thought about doing the springs and then thought better about it. Had a local shop do it and they changed the camber as well while they were at it for a track set-up.

Photos, please!

Niteroi:

For the non-DYI guys like me, added confidence can come from seeing the ACTUAL installations. Some very good ones lately on the FD springs, ECU's and DBW's. I guess it's too late this time for the BMC filter, but I hope the others in the Forum will keep it in mind when they do their installs.

Thanks..

Carmine, don't worry, it's "piece of cake". When you buy the filter from FD it comes with instructions with pictures.

It's something that everybody should do instead of paying for it.

Carmine I did a comprehensive write up about the BMC airfilter with pics - a sort of dummys guide for people like me. Just search forum-it was about 6 weeks ago.

Niteroi 30 mins install ? WTF Does a fast colour car means you are a fast mechanic also? Man I'm getting old!

30 mins is about right, even for a dummy, if you have my instructions.
I couldn't find your thread. I was interested to see who is the biggest dummy.

To be honest, I think I got lucky, the 4 screws on the air filter box came right off and the nuts on the back stayed in place all the time.:)

No you didn't get lucky, the nuts have a retainer clip to hold them in place.
I know, but it seems like they get loose with most people, making it harder to remove the screws and put them back later.
