I am running into a situation where the battery will drain completely within 24 hours......with the batter switch in the trunk turned to off.

Does anyone know what remains powered when that battery switch is off? It would make troubleshooting a much faster process to have this detail.

I would start by disconnecting the negative cable to be certain the battery does not have a internal short.

Nothing.
You're battery is dead.

Yup. 12.4V to 11.3V in 7 hours with the neg cable disconnected. Time for a new batt.

Definitely, if the negative cable is disconnected and battery is draining, your battery needs replacement
