Has anybody had this problem? I have a late '02 CC that when "paddling" from 4th to 5th it revs to 7500 back down to no revs and then brings me to neutral thus disabling the car. This makes for an adventurous drive on Florida's Turnpikes. Shelton has replaced the T/O bearing only 200 miles ago and it just happened again. Car will only restart after about 10 minutes of rest....anyone else experience this?? Car has 10,000 miles on it.

Bad Thrust Bearing

It may not be a T/O bearing problem. My '02 CC had a problem in which the hydraulic boost pump failed twice in a 1,000 mile interval. They replaced a pressure sensor along with the pump on the second failure and 5,000 miles later all is still well.

Ask your dealer to check the pump/sensor circuit for proper function.

Good luck
