As a UA alum.., I just want to say, no one likes Tempe Normal! However, because you have a Maserati, I say cheers. Used to live in Tucson, but no longer.

But I am curious to know how it holds up in the desert heat over the summer. Keep us posted! :D

Picking up one next week so add me to the list. Curious to know where the locals get thier service. Some posts here indicate it is better to get service from a non-dealer Maserati shop.

I have never heard of him. I would like to know more about him if any one has some info. If there are any local guys that need there car worked on I hope that you will consider me. I am on the forum constantly. I am a lot cheaper than the dealer and I know the guys there so I have access to buletins and other technical information.

Is there any events coming up in July 2010. I would love to get together with other car enthusiasts and just show our rides.

I'm a new owner of a '04 Coupé GT living in the Phoenix area.

I just emailed most of you regarding a meetup of owners that I'm trying to organize in October 2010. If you're interested in attending this one or future meetups, please PM me.

New Chandler Owner

I'm a new owner in Chandler AZ of an '05 Coupe GT. Planning to attend an event on Saturday May 5, 2012. Details at this link: Schedule and Map

They have a typo on the date should be 5th not 7th. Never been to this gathering before, so interested to check it out.

Not sure what happened to my last post. I bought some dirt in Scottsdale and we will be building a home. Leaving Seattle and my friends at [email protected] which has been a bast and fun to watch how big it has gotten. So what do we have in he area for Exotic car clubs and driving event. Also if anyone can verify the guy in Fountains Hills is a good contact. I have a bad taste in my mouth from factory dealers and not sure why anyone would use them except for warranty work- and that us weak at best. I have Carlo now at Alfa of Tacoma. He is great and half the price of Seattle for the same service. Just need to know my baby will be in good hands. I will get a full service before I head south as I a do for my 30K service now.

Independents and Clubs

I just recently used iAutoHaus in Tempe to do an annual service. I was pleased with the care they took and their prices are better than Scottsdale FM. I have not tried the guy in Fountain Hills so can't help you there. I'm in Chandler which is way south end of town.

As for clubs there is an active cars and coffee group that meets the first Saturday of every month. The group is called Scuderia South West.(Home Page)

It is a very informal group. The Ferrari Club of America desert region chapter is fairly active and schedules a few drives and track events every year. Many of the members also frequent the cars and coffee events.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your move!

I am also new to area from east coast: Norfolk Va . I have used the Maserati dealer in Scottsdale. They have have a hourly rate of 140. They fix the conv top in under a hour, and did a good job. They also reset a check engine light on a later date for NO charge. I am using them for some exhaust work in a few weeks.
Good luck and happy driving:cheers:]

Scottsdale dealer gave me 2 free copper crush washers recently when I replaced my own gear oil.

Also just went to Cars and Coffee event this past weekend in Scottsdale. Really great turn out, my guess is over 150 cars. There were only 2 Masers present: My Coupe and a black Quatroporte.
