Some time ago I posted whether the Vintage look front and rear bumpers could be installed on a regular coupe; different answers; in a search tonight I see that the GS bumpers can be put on the coupe; are they one in the same; GS and Vinatge pkg bumpers for the coupe?

yeah, the vintage 05+ is the same as the /gs. You can get it from the deler
Yes and no. Rear bumper is the same, the lower part of the front spoiler on the GS is deeper. The upper part of the bumper and the grille are the same.

And it isn't just the vintage 05 that is the same, all of the coupes 05 and later use the "GS style" bumpers.

Here is a non-vintage 05 coupe for reference:

Here is a GS spyder for reference (note deeper lower lip):

Nice catch, Glenn. I haven't notice that difference before. I wish Maserati sold the lower front spoiler separately - I would get the GS version - but they don't.

Those are good pictures, one can really see the "lips" around the grill on '05+ bumpers.

Last time I checked, a complete '05 non-GS front clip - minus grill, is approx. $3300 unpainted.

I have a 2004 coupe GT?
The 05+ and GS front/rear bumpers will fit the 02-04 earlier cars but require you to replace the entire bumper assy/grille etc and have them painted. It seems like a pretty major job. As Bcube says, the front is $3300 ish unpainted. Add labor and paint for both front and rear, it sounds pretty expensive to me.

The only point we were making here is that there are two front bumper configurations used on the 05/06. GS with a deeper lip, and the regular coupe/spyder lip.

The vintage grille and GS chrome grilles are identical and will fit either 05/GS front bumper setup.

SO can I JUST get the Chrome mesh for the front and rear?

DO I HAVE to replace the bumper or is there a mesh chrome screen (like GS or Vintage look) that will fit the front and a piece to fit betweeen the rear bumper stays as I will call it; someone said they can manufacture me a chrome mesh insert for the rear and it would be attached from behind and epoxied in...

Yes, as explained in the other thread, there is a vintage front chrome grille for the 04 but it isn't as big as the 05 - you can buy it from the dealer:

For the rear, I'm not sure we can help you. I am sure you can buy some chrome mesh but really the opening at the back on the 04's is so small I doubt people would even notice it:

I haven't seen any pics of any cars on here where anyone has put mesh in an 02-04 rear bumper.

I'm not trying to be flip but if this is important to you, why not consider trading on an 05? The price difference isn't huge now the 05's are getting more miles on them. The look of the grilles was a big factor in me deciding I would get an 05 vintage pack over an 04.

Good luck!

Well it wouldn't need to be a vintage, any 6 speed 05 could easily be fitted with the larger chrome grilles.

The only downside to the look is everyone seems to think it is an Aston Martin!
