QP - Dealer's Dealing

Metropolis3303 said:
Hi,
I was just curious if you're expected to pay MSRP for a QP or if dealers do give discounts off of the MSRP. If they do, can anyone give me an idea of the percentage most dealers will take off the MSRP?
Thanks,
Jim
My experience has been that you can get between 4 & 5 % off the sticker price of a 2006 being factory ordered. Cars in dealer inventory you can usually get about a 6-7% discount, excluding the gas guzzler tax and delivery charge. Obviously the more options you add, the more margin the dealer has to work with. I believe the markup on the car is approximately 10-11% overall.

For what its worth, we are sticking to MSRP on new QP's, and on the specialty cars - 90th, GS, etc..

We have one 90th left, #69/90, and the 90th anniv blue color, which I believe there are a total of about 30 in the US in that color. With the blue woven carbon fiber, and the contrasting wheels\mesh, I think its the best combo.
