Hello guys,

The maserati i m looking at buying needs an annual service. As i live in Dubai, the specialists out here are very limited...

The quote i recieved from the M dealer for the annual service is 2.5K$ while from the specialist it is 2.2K$.

As it seems very excessive i would like to know how on earth they come up with figures like that. Could someone give me a break down on what is supposed to be done in a car with the cambiocorsa clutch system. What is normally done to your cars. From what i ve read a normal price would have been 900-1200$.

By the way the car i am looking at buying is 2002 4200 spyder.

Thanxs in advance.

Marios

Depends on what is meant by annual service. Add spark plugs and a few additional fluids to what the others have mentioned and $2500 is not unreasonable.

It really is dependant on mileage if you are following the factory maintenance schedule. For a "fluid and filter" annual service, it takes roughly 7 man hours plus parts.

Annual Check

Just had my 05 Spyder in for the annual check (16000mi). Dealer wanted 2400 to do the combined annual and 18500mi check at same time. I negotiated it to $1700 and ended up out the door for $1200. This was through Desert Euopean Motor in Rancho Mirage. The previous year I paid $850 for the annual check through the same dealer.
