I have long had the TPMS error message on my dashboard. All 4 sensors have been new. The module throws the P0100 error nonetheless. And I couldn't get the sensor readings to show up on the dash with this error in situ.

I have replaced the TPMS module once. This resulted in error free operation for a few weeks. And then the same situation would resume - TPMS errors would flash up during a drive, and as time went by, the time from startup to error would shorten.

I recently discovered two things:

1. With a TPMS scan tool, I could actually read the values of all 4 sensors without issue. When the scan tool is reading the TPMS values, the P0100 error disappears - including the error icon on the dashboard. But the error would recur almost immediately after disconnecting the tool.

2. I recently replaced the dashboard with the new LCD cluster (found on Aliexpress). To my huge surprise, that appear to have cured the TPMS error - the sensor values reads/displays readily on the cluster, and no error is apparent (I haven't scanned it, but it doesn't show error/beep on the LCD cluster). So perhaps all our TPMS module woos over the years have been some sort of problem with the instrument cluster or "incompatibility" between the TPMS ECU and the instrument cluster?

Another bonus of the new dashboard is that the "System Not Programmed" error also went away.

Just posting here for posterity.

My issues with TPMS disappeared when took to dealer and had the ECU upgrade(recall)done (2012 QP)
good to know. Do you know which model years the recall cover? Is it specifically to address the TPMS issue? When did you take it in? There are lots of long sufferers of the TPMS issue here on this forum. This is the first time I have heard of a recall for it.
