These photos show a new left side quarter panel being fit. The wheel housing will be removed and repaired. Door will recieve new skin. Quarter panel will be welded to body just above original weld line.

We are doing the car for a customer. We decided to post photos to show what needs to be done with a rusty car, wether it is a Maserati, Ferrari, or Bugatti. We have seen so much poor work being done and this could help someone to see what they should being seeing on their car. If you look at the photos of the original floor, it was undercoated over bare bare metal from the factory. When the undercoating breaks there is bare metal exposed. Also when these cars were built they had no primer or undercoating on the inside panels, hence the rust issues. We will have no bare metal when finished, all inside panels and boxed sections are coated with industrial epoxies. When the cars are done this way they do not have to be done again. Hope this helps someone.

These photos show the left quarter panel welded in place. The weld will be metal finished and invisible when done.Other photos show rust at right lower footwell and door post. The Right rocker has been trimmed away. All rust will be sandblasted and the clean metal epoxy coated. The last is of the drive shaft tunnel. At some point the u-joint let go and heavily damaged the floor.

These photos show new parts for right rocker panel. The wiring harness is run through the rocker in a bare steel tube. After years of moisture the tube rusts the wiring harness in place and rusts the tube out. We made the new tube from stainless tube. Also, the fuel line runs through the rocker in a small boxed section. The rocker is built as a sub assembly ready to weld to the body. It is spot welded as per original with the correct reinforcements. The inside of the new rocker is coated with industrial epoxy primer, it will be painted and wax coated when finished.

Thanks for posting all these images, they help to explain how the car is constructed. Would you have any images from the inside of the rear wheel arch....where the fuel tank sits at all?
I'm trying to understand why my car has pinholes of rust in this area
