To keep it from getting confused I do the following..
I always put my foot on the brake, pull back both shifter paddles, makes sure it's in neutral, then while the foot is still on the brake, lift up gently and pull back so it goes into reverse. Remember that reverse in a CC is not a real reverse, the clutch never fully engages, it only bumps, so you get loads of wear in reverse. In your case, I would have the CHF fluid level checked in your CC, it could be getting a little low and causing you to loose some pressure. Also, it could just be the way you are shifting... Let us know what happens...
