For the Winter I have a set of OEM 18" with snowtires, without sensors.
Dealer wants $1,200 for parts and labor. that would require reprogramming each sensor twice a year. My 2008 QP has TPMS. From the owners manual, it appears that I will have a constant error message. Anybody know if this is so and/or will I be able to deactivate, clear fault for the Winter months and reactivate in the the Spring without a trip to the dealer?

Kind of obscure but maybe someone went thru this already.

Had a TPMS fault on my 2005 QP that the dealer was having difficulty fixing so I asked them if it could simply be disabled and they told me that it could not.

You shouldn't have to reprogram the system to re-install your OEM wheels but it will give a constant error if it doesn't see the sensors at all.

how bad is the error. A light or does it effect the display?
