Hello, I just bought a 2005 Quattroporte and its not running. Sounds like the fuel pumps are working, the car does have a bad oil leak. Can that be the problem? Maybe the computer is cutting the fuel pressure. Also on the dash it saying engine oil pressure sensor failure.... Need help please.....

have you gotten it scanned with an obd2 scanner? You always want to start with that.

Then do a visual inspection underneath the hood

I would start with locating and possibly getting rid of the leak. Then locating the oil pressure sensor and inspecting the wiring and the sensor itself if needed. I would not attempt to start the car with possible low oil pressure as that will destroy the bearings- catastrophic engine failure....

is it a duoselect car? if so, are you sure you're hearing the fuel pumps running, or the F1 Pump priming the transmission hydraulic circuit (it does this as soon as you open the drivers side door, before you even turn the car on).

If you have low oil pressure, a dry sump car won't start... if you have low transmission fluid pressure, the car won't start... these are all safety features... make sure you have no errors, particularly the oil pressure sensor before trying to start, and ensure the battery is fully charged (low voltage causes many incorrect errors).

Be sure to get the oil pressure sensor issue resolved first... then go from there and see what can be done. But that's an important one to start with!

Good Luck and Best Regards,
