I have a 2002 coupe cc. its got 3,000 miles on it and a couple days ago i tried driving it again and it wouldnt go passed 2nd gear anyone know what the problem could be?
IT HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN ENOUGH!!!!!! Sounds like the CC pump has died of inactivity/old age. Beat these cars and they'll last forever. Park 'em and they'll fall apart.

IT HASN'T BEEN DRIVEN ENOUGH!!!!!!
Inclined to agree CC has "seized up" or "rotted away"!

I also have an 02 CC and it has 45000 miles on it and is still shifting (okay 2nd F1 pump!)

Only advice I can offer is if the ecu has "forgotten how to shift"- ensure battery is 100% and switch-off at battery for a few minutes then back-on.

You could be low on hydraulic fluid in the CC

I would check the fluid level, you'll need AGIP CHF to fill it if needed and other than a computer reset, turn off the battery for a few minutes, you should be okay. If it shifts into N, R, 1st and 2nd, then the pump is working, but may be a little low on fluid. It's either that or out of adjustment...

fluid level

JACK up the car and use axle stands. NEVER reverse up ramps. You will burn the clutch. There is a cap about4cm diameter very close to the silver coloured shield above by the middle, Its a tight squeeze. Clean first and introduce CHS fluid £11 per litre. Use a syringe and hose. I would try a new battery first though. good luck!

Check out page 673 and 674 in the repair manual

It provides great detail on how this all works and how to fill the pump.... If you need the manual, let me know here and I will let you borrow mine..

BTW, the manual talks about the KISS points being out of sync and only shifting from 1 to 2, etc...
