Looking for some help from any transmission experts on here. I’m trying to locate a ZF 6HP26 transmission control module and am having a very hard time sourcing one.

Does anyone know if this part had any inter-compatibility with other manufacturers like the 6HP26 itself does?

PN ZF6058007083 - Google and some eBay listings say it’s the Transmission Control Module, not sure how accurate that is.

I’ve seen a bunch of TCMs on eBay for different manufacturers but none which quite match the part number. Curious to learn if I could replace it with another than came from a different OEM.

Any help or insight at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Jason,

The TCM unfortunately broke while servicing and is apparently not repairable. Have been trying to find a replacement for quite a while now without success.

So are you saying that a TCM from an equivalent BMW or Jaguar with a 6HP26 would be incompatible and/or have some loss of functionality?

Any suggestions on what options I have other than finding a used replacement transmission?
