I have been getting a Trunk Open Alert. The trunk is not open, and I cannot open the trunk with the switch on the dash, or the key fob. Is their a fuse, or a reset sequence for this ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Figured It Out.

I was able to figure this problem out.

This is the sequence I did to fix the problem.

1. Open trunk with key manually.
2. While trunk is open, close latch on lid.
3. Hold pressure plunger in and hold.
4. Press trunk unlock on key fob.

This activated the lock-unlock motor in the trunk lid. Now key fob and dash switch work, and alert light is off.

:D

I had the same problem after I tried to stuff too much into the trunk. Dealer was able to simply reset the system with the diagnostics computer. I was told that happens when the trunk closing jam gets "overworked". Simple enough with the OBD reader for the dealer - took all but 2 minutes.
Good Luck!
