Hello All,
I recently purchased an 03 Coupe GT. I love the car and want to do a bit of fluid changing before I drive it for the summer. The car has 18k on the clock and one of my only gripes is the tough shift into second gear, especially when cold. I'm interested in changing to a synthetic gearbox oil and wanted to see if other owners have done so, what they have used and if it helped the issue. Thanks for the input!

I had the same issue on my 04 GT plus some grinding thrown in for good measure.

My guy changed the oil to Amsoil synthetic and did a cable adjustment. Not as smooth as a Japanese box but very acceptable now. I have also learned not to rush my shifts anymore.

Redline MT90 fixed the 2nd gear shifts in my old 06 GT. I have cases of it in my garage, has improved every manual transmission I've used it on.

You can search for a local dealer, if you have trouble finding some I'd be happy to send some I have way too much of it sitting around.

Most places have it for $12-15/quart, I bought in quantity and my cost on it came to $9/quart.
