the ecu tuning takes up a large portion of the costs. the custom fabrication is only minor.Thanks. Maybe I'm too simple minded to understand the complexity or big difference in blowing out one of our engines versus other highline or performance cars.
I know our compression ratio is a little high for supercharging so I'm not sure whether we'd have to run a small about of boost or thicker head gaskets to lower it because I'm certain new pistons would be a small fortune. But what would be the issue with fabricating a bolt on kit thru ProCharger. The SC itself is pretty much universal and if someone had a blueprint of the engine I don't see an issue with getting the mounting plate designed.
If not Procharger what about STS (remote mounting turbo). Yah I know there are mixed opions on this system and our cars already sit hella low but I think its do able and even for a custom build with either kit we wouldn't pass $10k. Not even close I don't think.
The first kit done might sting a little due to the fact that the mounting bracket would need to be designed for the procharger (I really like them). But If we had 5 initial orders and all went in I don't think it'd be that bad.
Just my $.02. Someone open my eyes as to where I'm wrong.
