Hey Guys,

I just got my car wrapped, was going to take pictures for you guys today, but as I was doing that I noticed my emblem fell off my car. The back emblem that says "Maserati" came off, and I'm scared the side logos might come off too. I noticed the shop used some form of double sided tape, and in my opinion that doesn't seem right...

Any idea what should be used to put those emblems back on? They weren't screw ons or anything, so I assume they came factory glued or something. Any advice would be helpful. I'm going to have them do it, I don't really trust myself doing it, but I would like to suggest them what to do based off the feedback here.

Thanks,

I think that's exactly what he said he used. I remember him mentioning 3M and it's definitely double sided tape. Do you know if that's how it comes stock too? I'm trying to figure out why it fell off...wouldn't want that to happen randomly while driving lol.

I remember the company that wrapped my car said the emblems came off way too easy from factory application. They said they used much stronger 3m double sided tape. Maybe they applied some type of protection liquid conditioner for wraps then installed emblems? that would could be why. I don’t think there will be a problem again when you have them correct it. They know what products to use. I’d be more concerned when the wrap starts to shrink a bit and peeling up on few random spots. They should redo those spots for free too. It’s common and almost unavoidable but reasonable company’s will take care of you.

Use 3M adhesive promoter first. You can hold the emblem on the area where it is placed
and trace the emblem’s outline with a grease pencil. Put the promoter inside the outlined area. Excess can be removed with alcohol.
You can by the 3M promoter sticks on Ebay.
