Hi alltogether,

I have a 05 QP in black and would like to change this next year!

My idea is to make use of the original black color and combine it with for example red to a totally unique sporty design!
My interior is grey and red...

I tried to get some ideas from the internet....but nothing!
Has anybody a good idea or even pictures?

Appreciate any help!

Wow....guys...you are great!

Thanks for the great response....I like the color scheme of the bugatti and the last pics of Tridentity!
Actually the black/red combo was something what I had in mind. I would prefer to use stock colors from Maserati/Ferrari what is a problem with the Veyron colors...
Tridentity...could you make me a favour? The third pic with black and red....swap the colors...red in the center and black on side!
The front is easy to follow the lines of the car, but how to make the perfect rear?

I know there were already other thread with a wrap, but I want paint! Actually I got the idea from this thread...
Matt colors....I checked with the paint guy and he recommended to not do it!
Then better wrap! If you want to polish your car or add some wax....no go for matt colors!
Ok guys...any other suggestions are welcome....but many thanks again to the fast and great proposals!

Personally I'm not crazy about the 2 tone, because I don't think it follows the lines of the car as well as others, but if I were to go with it, I like the way Tridentity did it, it looks great. Good job. Now you just need the matching 2 tone wheels and you can be on the cover of Import Tuner magazine with some hot asian babe in a bikini! Remember guys, its all about style signore, style..

Yes I think the design from Tridentity is great!
The rear part is not easy...

Wheels...there I have this in mind...see attachment!

And with the hot asian babes...ok let's see...sounds great too :Tombo:

Well, I was being sarcastic about the import tuner mag and hot asian babes, but I will take the hot babes down in the backseat, as long as they keep their shoes off and feet in the air! LOL..

No problem. I will make some of the rear, if you have any idea tell me and if I can, I do it.

Some ideas for the rear. I like most with black top.

Hi Tridentity,

Thanks again for your great support!
It's not a question how and who can do it....you just did it and helped me a lot...great thanks!

Yeah, now is the question what will look better...?
The older models have the white reverse lights as a white stripe down. This fit exactly to the line between the two colors.
I was thinking if I just continue....follow the line down...the bumper would then also have the 2 color scheme...?!
I think I will get serveral head aches before I can come to a conclusion....but at least I have now some material what I can present to my painter....

Thanks for the help... !

Martin- are you going to go for it? Let us know which color combo you plan to do, it will be interesting to do.. it would be nice if it were something that can be replaced or changed, but it will be permanent- Kind of like a tattoo- make sure you are absolutely sure what you want to do before you do it, it won't be reversible.

First I was also not sure if I really do it or like 99,9% of QP owners just add some nice wheels...
As a matter of fact I need to repaint my rear doors, fenders and side skirts because of the typical stone hits! So, if I choose the black center and red sides...it is just some panels more...
Now the samples from Tridentity gave me a realistic idea of how it could look like...and I like it!
I set now February for doing this job! ...this gives me a little bit time for the exact design!
The black center and rear part with the trunk hood kept in black...only the bumper red ...is now my favorit. ...still thinking of letting the black center going down over the bumper...?
I'm still not sure what kind of red it will be....ferrai red....or something like on the Veyron....
You need to know that I was actually thinking of a sportscar (ferrari, Grand Sport) but because of size problems I found the proper solution in the QP...now I will give him a sporty dress!

I know about those stone chips- I had my dealer re-paint the side skirts and rear doors, then Maserati NA actually did it out of good faith for the brand, and I had them do it because my car was still out of warranty. But they wouldn't do the clear bra on it even as a paid option, because you have to let the paint cure for 2 weeks at least before you put it on, or when peeling back the clear tape later on, the paint will come off with it!

So I didn't drive my car for a month to let it cure (ended up trashing my battery) since I was away on business anyway (no battery tender at the time), and I finally put the clear bra on the whole side skirt, and bottom part of rear doors and inside of the rear fenders and some of the bumper in the rear as well to totally protect the car.

Now I'm fully protected. I suggest you do the same after you re-paint, and let the car sit for a few weeks to let the paint cure, and then put the ventureshield clear tape on the whole side skirt and the rear door and rear bumper (since stonechips are a known problem) on the car. My car looked great except those stupid stone chips made it look like total crap before. Now that I got it fixed, I am very happy.
