Gentlemen

While waiting for a client I decided to go through all my service and part bills since I bought the car in April of 2012. Grand total spent is $13,419.57 over 54 months or $248.51 per month. I have 47,000 miles and the most recent bill (last month) was the most at $3,500 which included rear brakes, alternator, fluid service, spark plugs, coolant hose, and engine work.

This number includes all service items, filters, fluids etc. Plus 2 batteries, and two sets of tires, and FD big front brakes and FD rear brakes. Alternator, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, manifold, corroded coolant hose replacement and faulty electronic brake sensor out of warranty.

Very reasonable for the joy and smiles she brings. C

Anyone else do this?

So 28.55 cents/mile
Then add taxes, registration, insurance, fuel and depreciation

Ug I'm depressed :laugh2:

WOW, I understand the maintenance part (fluid, filters etc). But were all those things wrong with your car - alternator, brakes both pads and discs, fluid hose and valve cover gaskets? Or was this what the dealer "suggested"?

i suspect the original poster goes to a maserati dealer to have everything done, a competent 3rd party shop could do all that work easily and for half the cost. either way that's still not very expensive, i've spent 700 per month on one of my pick up trucks on maintenance over 12 months and the truck was only worth 3000 dollars...
