I love the MGT - awesome car on many levels. I'm really glad however that I bought mine very well a couple years back because I'm not sure I've ever owned another car that has depreciated like these are.

The used market is flooded with them (comparatively) and I think Maserati's push for volume is causing the mass depreciation.

I'm considering trading my 08 in for an 09 with F1 transmission. Right now I can still get out with a nominal loss (or cost) of driving the last 2 seasons but I'm fearful I might have to pay someone to buy it next year :)

I see everyone's point, and I do love my GT for what it is. But damn...it would really make me a happy camper to have a usable nav system. I thought everyone was exaggerating before I owned one, but after the first few times that it either got me lost or took me on the longest route, I decide to just use the iPhone from now on, propped up in the cupholder. I drive my GT from NYC to Miami, and back, every year.

I believe the iPad mini in that installation is used for NAV only (and internet access). I don't think it can control other car functions or the stereo. Very clever, though, not to mention making the center console much more modern looking.

yeah. they said that you can remove the iPad to get to the telematics, trip, etc, but it looks like all the buttons have been removed under the iPad. maybe they're just covered up?

in any case, I've been considering something like that myself. I design software and the stock radio is abysmal in its implementation. like really, to change the radio station is something like 6 button pushes and that's not even including turning the dial...

Talk about retro...when I first looked at the radio section when I bought my car, I thought there must a slot for cassettes somewhere. lol. :smile2:
