A quick update. Clutch is at 72% Low voltage under start-up around 12.2V Tech states they like to see 13.2V min at start-up. Possibly causing TCU to generate the P1782 code. Battery is after market and tested at 13.6 at posts but battery does not meet the factory required ratings. We are going to replace clutch and the battery and see if that resolves the issue. They were able to remove code and perform re-learn and test each gearshift. They also drove around a bit before it reverted back to limp mode. F1 pump and pressure are all good. Also it looks like the TCU was replaced by dealer. Mechanics stated it looks like it was replaced by a 1yr older re-flashed TCU. Tech stated could also be a loose ground.

Info on Code...

When you check Maserati Granturismo car engine light came on code P1782 the reason should be Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light). However Maserati manufacturer may have a different definition for the P1782 OBD-II Diagnostic Powertrain (P) Trouble Code.

Maserati Granturismo P1782 OBD-II Diagnostic Powertrain (P) Trouble Code Description
P1782 P/ES Circuit Out Of Self Test Range so you have to check ODB-II Engine trouble code list.
Reason For Maserati Granturismo P1782 Code
The reason of Maserati Granturismo P1782 OBD-II Engine Trouble Code is P1782 P/ES Circuit Out Of Self Test Range.

Just a follow up on my F1 issue. Got my car back last week since it took 3-weeks for parts from Italy. Seems Italy is on slow from Dec 15-January. Anyway, after new clutch, sensor, bearings etc the F1 transmission runs perfect. Actuator tested perfect. Looks like Ferrari had updated and improved most of the new clutch parts and sensors since the 2009 factory install. The Mechanic at the shop works on F-cars Lambo etc and was extremely impressed with the GTS MC-shift. Gear box and software from a Ferrari 599 Superfast TCU software. Thanks to all, especially Craig for all you information and guidance.

Your very welcome. If you ever get tired of that beautiful car let me know. My next Mas. will be a Gran T but I got to have the F1 system in it or I don't want it. Additionally, if you need any baby sitting for it.....lol I'm here as well!:grin2:

Very happy you got it worked out.

F1 transmissions pop up on ebay every once in a while.... You could convert a newer model ......would need all the electronics and extra bits, maybe different driveshaft , dash parts, etc...but I am sure it could be done......for $$

Or import an EU version...

Can you pull both shift levers for neutral?....that would be nice..

I had the same exact problem with my car and ultimately they told me it needed a new clutch at 44,000 miles for me. Replaced the clutch and I have been pushing it to the limit most of its days for about 7 months now and its perfect.

Glad it runs great now! I love the F1 gearbox and would never buy the car without it. I am going to get the DBW from FD soon:)
