I noticed the main display screen on my 04 Spyder is suddenly very dim. It is not becuase of the "main dark" setting - just a lit dimmer than usual (can't read it with sunglasses for example). Is there a setting to bring the brightness up?

You didn't happen to be wearing a new pair of sunglasses, did you? I've noticed that when I wear my polarized shades, the NIT screen is almost invisible.

The only brightness setting I've seen is for the nighttime dimmer, under one of the Main Screen menus.

+1 on this! I bought a new pair of Maui Jim's, and its amazing! It almost blocks out the entire screen! At first I thought my unit was going bad! I pulled of my sunglasses to take a closer look and it was absolutely normal... but them on again, and it was like someone turned down the brightness by a factor of 10!

The same happened to me last week, and it took me a while to figure it out, after I had played with all my radio settings! I felt very dumb, glad to hear I'm not the only one!:D

Yes it did actually coincide with new shades (Smith polarized) but I was not sure if that was the problem. Thanks for the help.

Just tilt your head a little and it'll either get darker or brighter. LOL. I guess we all have had this problem. BTW Same for cell phone screens, ATM's, TV's
