Hey guys. I got a '15 GT new from the dealer. It came with 40-42psi in each tire. I already had to replace one of the tires - freak thing, couldn't be patched.

The sticker on the door says tires should be 32psi. So that's what the shop put in the new one. But, now the TPMS is constantly saying that the new tire is low. And, obviously I don't want to run one tire 10 pounds lower than the rest...

So, do I lower the three, or raise the one? And if I lower all to 32, will a TPMS calibration get rid of the alert on the dash?

Seems like a no-brainer, with the sticker right in front of me. But, what was the dealership doing running them so high?

they dont know how long the car will be in transit(custom delays etc) so always pump a bit more in.
use a calibrated external gauge to set as per recomendatuon. tpms still has bugs(they still use as it helps with the cars safety rating) and should not replace external checking. if tpms shows fault with correct pressue then you know its faulty.

you should alsi druve a while fir it to reset

is it the dash tpms readout saying 42? or are you using a gauge?
32psi is what it is supposed to be, i'd say amazing is on track with they might have had it blown up higher to prevent flat spots on the lot, and no one set the pressures to correct specification before delivery.

i ask about the gauge because i've seen some gauges read 10 to 15 psi off of what my own calibrated gauge will read pressures at.

if the pressure is left that high, you'll have incredible premature wear of the center patch of the tire tread.

Tire Pressure

Had the same issue.....tire pressure was in the mid 40s from the dealer when I picked up the car...already blew one tire...

The manual says that the pressure should be about 14psi higher than the norm if the car is to be stored for a period of time. I guess they never decreased it...

so when you get a new Maserati..check the tire pressure right after you pick up the car....

I'd be amazed if more than 20% of dealerships bother to decrease tire pressure when delivering a car after the sale. Seems like something that would typically fall below their radar.

And maybe I was lucky but the sensors in both my QP and GT were very close to the readings from the external pressure gauge.
