odyssey vs optima vs interstate

I see in this thread and I have seen in other threads experience and recommendations for Odyssey, Optima or Interstate.
I have experience with Optima (twice - see my earlier post), but not Odyssey or Interstate.

Is there anybody who have experience with more than one brand and can comment on relative advantages? I understand some may be just opinions, but I value opinions of people with experience :)

I replaced mine with the Oddysey battery, weighs only 11.8 or 12.8 kgs around there. Stock battery weighed about 25kgs!! Also the Oddysey battery comes with a 5 year warranty and doesn't cost as much as the factory battery. I drive my car usually once a week and it cranks up as per normal. Sorry but I forgot the model number. I have to go and check it in my car.

I've got a shitload of aftermarket electrical's bogging down my car: In addition to extra CCA's (880 Odyssey vs. 650 OEM) the Odyssey supplies, I've upgraded to the 34R PC1500 [reversed post] b/c of it's extra storage capacity (Ah 68/Rc 135 mins)...and b/c it's a dry-cell variety, there's no possibility of leakage whatsoever ('bout the only downside to the Odyssey IMO, is it's weight @ 50 lbs).

That doesn't sound right to me...Odyssey batteries are very heavy (mine weighs 49.0 lbs) and it's pretty costly @ aprox. $300.00 USD (albeit less expensive then paying $750.00 for the crap OEM from the factory).

Just replaced my OEM FIAMM battery (2009). Replaced with an Interstate battery.

In searching the archives here I was unable to locate which specific Interstate battery to purchase (seems like most everyone has had a dealer change their battery, not many seem to have done it themselves I guess). I wanted to post a warning that the battery recommended by Interstate's fitment guide is wrong. It will tell you that the Interstate battery you need to get is H6 size and recommends the MT7-48/H6 which is an AGM battery, and is what I originally purchased. The MT7 is way too small in physical dimensions. The correct size is H8. Had to take the H6 sized one back and replace it with the MT5-49/H8, which is the H8 sized AGM battery. The MT5 is exact fitment replacement. Save yourself some time and ignore the Interstate fitment guide, buy the H8 sized battery.

dealer replaced mine 2.5 years since new at 7k miles, i connect the tender sometimes and it didnt even help with battery life. Shortest battery life of any car ever!
John
Was it a smart charger or just a battery tender. Big difference. I have the Ctek 4.3 and really love it. With Interstate MT5-49/H8 AGM Direct replacement fit and has 1000 cranking amps! Put in by dealer after stock failed.

i literally just had mine replaced by the dealer last week. but honestly, not sure if i like it. they put in an interstate battery.

the reason is..on cold start..and it has been cold lately, the engine doesn't just start with the turn of the key. i have to give it some gas to start it. is this just a crappy battery?

Battery replaced - Gransport

Just replaced my OEM with Optima Red (more starting power) ... >> CAREFUL, the "negative" and "positive" posts on the new battery were the opposite sides from the OEM battery in my ride. Other than that, works and reset all electronics fantastically.

Have had my interetate battery for 3 months now and it just had it check at their dealer he advised me I should go with an odyssey which is way better than their.

IT was showing 12.2v but indicating I needed to charge it. That's odd since my granturismo is a daily driver. He said might be the alternator but I just think the battery is not good again
