Keyless Remote / Push Button Start for 2013 Maserati GranTurismo Sport

The Keyless system I purchased is identical to the one Maserati Mods sales including the wiring.

Here’s the video link:

Currently everything works as intended. But when I open the door; I get the “Extract key warning” on the dash and the annoying sound that goes away when you close the door. I’m aware this is normal because it’s aftermarket?

My question is, has someone figured out a the remedy to clearing the ”Extract key warning” on the dash and the annoying sound.

I’m running into some additional issues with this unit.

When you walk away the Lock & Unlock function is not working. And speaking to the manufacturer from china they said push the relearn button on the main unit and now only one key works it’s not relearning both keys close together or far apart and the function I originally needed back is still not working.

Also once you hit the unlock button, the trunk will not open when you press leaver on the trunk. Yes the trunk opens every other way, like on the key or with the button on the dash.

There is a setting in the head unit that says something counterintuitive. Something about "trunk unlocks with all doors", except it is kind of inversely worded. If that setting got flipped, it will behave as yours is behaving.

Good to know but I switched the head unit out for the one in the photo but I will still check and see if there it’s something like what your saying because it still could be.

The setting should still be in there. I installed an Aucar in mine, and had exactly the same behavior until I hacked around in there for a while and found the setting. I even took my trunk switch out and tested it 5 ways to Sunday.

It is under "car settings" or wherever you set miles/kilometer, gallons/liters and C/F etc. Switch the line having to do with trunk locking to the opposite of what it is now.

edit: I went out and looked at it at lunch. The setting is in the app "Car Settings"/"Independent trunk lid unlocking". Uncheck that one. Like I said, it is an awkward way of saying what it does.

I have an older gen 2 aucar 9 inch. Mine does not have a noticeable delay.

I really want to change my radio and HVAC out for the newer, slightly larger 10 inch one (and not with a carbon fiber trim bezel as mine is). I have been very hesitant because I have it working perfectly right now and it took weeks of tweaking to get it that way. I engineer complex systems for a living, but even so the level of things I had to grok to get it that way is well beyond any post I can make here.

I guess I would start by going back to whoever sold it to you and simply ask if there is a known fix.
